Working On A Superyacht Is Hard

Dictatorships: Seduced By The Promise Of 24-Carat Glamour, Young Britons Are Signing Up As Superyacht Crew - Only To Find They're Stranded Aboard Floating Tyrannies, Forced To Indulge The Bizarre Whims Of Monstrously Spoilt Owners -- Daily Mail

'Access Interdit,’ says the sign on the Quai des Milliardaires in Antibes. Behind a barrier the superyachts rise like a skyline in white and royal blue. This is the smartest address in a smart town. Riff-raff are discouraged.

Still, nobody pays much attention as I wander up to the first of these beasts, the motor yacht Katara. Owned by the Emir of Qatar, it is thought to have cost around $300 million. Crew in white shirts and khaki shorts swarm over its decks, making final preparations to the scene.

Everything is immaculate. Glasses and cutlery are laid on tables. Sun-loungers are set out on the teak transom, towels rolled in tight cylinders. On the top deck a helicopter waits. It all gleams in the sunshine.

The MIGALOO: An Ultra-Luxury Private Submarine That Comes With A Pool

From YouTube: Check out this ultra-lux submarine. Called The MIGALOO, it offers upscale amenities like a pool and a large deck.

Choosing a yacht can be such a chore for wealthy folks. With almost too many to choose from, you might have an easier time picking your perfect submarine.

The MIGALOO is billed as "The Ultimate Lux Sub". It offers upscale amenities like a pool and a large deck for relaxation.

Marketed as an alternative to luxury yachts, as expected, it offers the option to travel below the water's surface.

Measuring over 375 feet long by 36 feet wide, the submarine is anything but small. It bears the appearance of a traditional submarine in most aspects but the tower is custom designed in order to house a staircase and elevator shaft.

The designers stated "The enormous space of the aft deck includes lounge areas, sun beds, a bar, an 8 by 3 meter-pool as well as a heli-pad that offer a wide range of activities and possibilities. When MIGALOO is submerged, all furniture is stored in large storages underneath the granite decking."

What do you think? Would you like to own this submarine?

The Lamborghini Of Boats?

Introducing the $1.1 million Lamborghini-inspired supercar yacht, on show at the Miami Boat Show.

Supercar Yacht: Dream Machine Or Ego Gone Mad? -- CNN

(CNN) -- The height of luxury -- or a vulgar monstrosity?

To its owner, this 15-meter, Lamborghini-inspired speedboat is the apex of nautical engineering. A sleek, innovative, gutsy vessel worthy of its $1.1 million price tag.

But others disagree.

When Gino Gargiulo turned up at the Miami Boat Show with his banana-yellow beauties in tow -- the boat and the $750,000 car it resembles -- a small crowd quickly gathered around.

"This is the best boat you can buy -- it's the Lamborghini of boats," says the 48-year-old automobile and restaurant mogul from Miami, Florida.
